Do you find yourself wanting to do all the things then get overwhelmed and end up doing nothing? Do you crash and burn on eating plans and exercise plans because you’ve missed days so now it’s ruined?
Have you ever noticed that your brain tends to favor thinking that things in the world are either just one way or the other? Do you often feel like the way you think about things is right and the way other people are thinking is wrong? Is it hard for you to understand why other people are doing what they are doing when it so different from the way you think?
If you said yes to any of these questions, it’s because you’re a human with a human brain. We call this all or nothing thinking and your lower brain prefers to think this way because it feels safer and simpler.
The tool I’m teaching you about today is the solution to all or nothing thinking and it’s called happy medium thinking. It basically means that you notice your brain offering you two extreme ends of any spectrum and you intentionally decide where you want to be somewhere in the middle of that spectrum. I know you’re going to love it. Enjoy!
