When we go through experiences and circumstances in our lives that cause us pain, it can be very helpful to understand which types of thoughts bring us clean pain (which serves us and helps us process the pain and accept the reality of our experience) and which types of thoughts bring us dirty pain (which usually means we’re torturing ourselves on a loop, making the circumstances mean something has gone wrong, and often leads to us ignoring reality or fighting against it).
Listen in to learn more about this and start to gain awareness in your own thoughts so that you can decrease the amount of extra pain that you are creating for yourself with your thoughts. I call this pain on pain. It’s ok that we do it and we will continue to do it in some degree or another because we have a human brain. However, understanding it and being aware of it is always how we start to get some control over it. Enjoy!
